Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik (UMG) once again proves its quality as a globally competitive university. This year, dozens of its outstanding students are set to achieve remarkable milestones on the international stage through internship, exchange, and student mobility programs across Southeast Asia.
A total of five students from the Information Systems Program will participate in a student exchange program at INTI International University, Malaysia, one of the well-known and internationally recognized universities in the country. This opportunity marks a significant step for the students to experience a global academic environment while expanding their knowledge in technology at an international level.
Equally impressive, two students from the Accounting Program have been selected to join an internship program in Yala, Thailand. They will be directly involved in a cross-border professional environment, enhancing their skills while representing UMG in the international workplace.
Meanwhile, two students from the English Language Education Program will also gain valuable international experience through an internship program in Loei, Thailand. Equipped with strong language proficiency and pedagogical knowledge, they are ready to contribute and grow within a dynamic global educational setting.
The wave of UMG’s internationalization continues with the participation of 12 students from the Islamic Education (PAI) and PIAUD programsin astudent mobility program at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Malaysia. This program serves as a platform for academic exchange, cultural interaction, and global learning experiences that strengthen students’ international perspectives.
The departure of these dozens of students is not merely a routine program, but a clear reflection of UMG students’ ability to compete, adapt, and excel on the global stage. Their spirit, courage, and competence represent the university’s vision of becoming a globally oriented and high-quality institution.
This major step is expected to inspire all UMG students to continue striving for excellence, step out of their comfort zones, and proudly represent Indonesia on the world stage.
