A lively and welcoming atmosphere marked the IRO Family and International Students Iftar Gathering held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. The event brought together international students and members of the university community in a meaningful Ramadan gathering that celebrated togetherness, cultural exchange, and friendship.

The event was further highlighted by the presence of the Rector, Khoirul Anwar, S.Pd., M.Pd., along with the Vice Rector, Dr. Slamet Asari, S.Pd., M.Pd., making the gathering even more special for the participants. Their attendance reflected the university leadership’s commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for international students.

The Head of the International Relations Office (IRO), Paulina, S.Pd., M.Pd., expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to bring together the IRO Family and international students during the holy month of Ramadan. “This gathering is more than just sharing a meal. It is about strengthening the sense of family within our international community and creating meaningful connections among students and the university community,” she stated.

Rector Prof. Dr. Khoirul Anwar, S.Pd., M.Pd. also conveyed his appreciation for the event and emphasized the importance of creating a campus environment that welcomes students from diverse cultural backgrounds. “Our university is not only a place for academic learning, but also a home where students from different countries and cultures can connect, learn from one another, and grow together,” he said.

Vice Rector Dr. Slamet Asari, S.Pd., M.Pd. added that the presence of international students contributes significantly to the diversity and global perspective of the campus. “International students enrich our academic environment and cultural understanding. Events like this iftar gathering allow us to strengthen our relationships and celebrate diversity in a meaningful way,” he remarked.

As the time for breaking the fast approached, participants gathered together for a moment of prayer. When the Maghrib call to prayer was heard, everyone shared the iftar meal while enjoying conversations and exchanging stories in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The event reflected the university’s commitment to promoting intercultural understanding and building strong relationships among students from different parts of the world.
