Opportunities to learn and teach at the international level are once again open for students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik. Through the International Internship Thailand Program, UMG provides a real platform for students to step out of their comfort zones, engage directly in an international education environment, and experience cross-cultural learning in Thailand. This program has become one of the most sought-after international initiatives, as it combines academic, professional, and cultural experiences into one meaningful and comprehensive program.

The International Internship Thailand Program is a flagship and regularly conducted international program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik, organized by the International Relations Office (IRO). The program is designed as a strategic platform for active UMG students to gain hands-on experience teaching English in partner schools in Thailand, particularly for early childhood learners and young learners. Through direct involvement in international classrooms, students develop not only their English proficiency but also pedagogical skills, cross-cultural communication abilities, and self-confidence as future educators and global professionals.

This program is open to students who have completed at least their third semester, possess strong English communication skills both spoken and written, and demonstrate high motivation and responsibility. Selected participants will take part in teaching and learning activities directly in Thailand while serving as representatives of Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik and cultural ambassadors of Indonesia on the international stage.

As a sustainably implemented international program, the International Internship Thailand Program offers various supporting facilities for its participants. Students will receive free housing / a free place to stay, daily meals during the program, a monthly allowance, an international internship certificate, and valuable global teaching experience that significantly contributes to their academic and professional development. The program is conducted in multiple batches throughout the year, from January to December, providing flexibility for students to align participation with their academic schedules.

Through the consistent implementation of this program, Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik reaffirms its commitment to campus internationalization and to preparing students who are ready to compete globally. The International Internship Thailand Program stands as clear evidence that UMG goes beyond classroom learning by offering impactful, practical, and sustainable international experiences.

With the spirit of Go International with UMG, this program is expected to continue serving as a growth platform for students to broaden their perspectives, build international networks, and create extraordinary and unforgettable learning experiences.
