The participation of Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik (UM Gresik) in international academic forums was once again realized through its involvement in the Eurasian Rajamangala International Conference (ERIC’25), organized by the Institute of Science, Innovation and Culture (ISIC), Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep (RMUTK), Thailand, on 19 December 2025. The forum served as a meeting point for academics from various countries to discuss global dynamics in the fields of science, innovation, and culture.

Carrying the theme “Navigating Complexity in an Era of Disruptive Globalization,” ERIC’25 brought together researchers, lecturers, and practitioners from diverse academic backgrounds and nationalities. Within this forum, UM Gresik positioned itself as an active part of the global academic community, contributing to the exchange of ideas and the strengthening of scholarly discourse amid an increasingly complex global landscape.

UM Gresik’s participation in the series of colloquium and international conference activities involved members of the university leadership and academic community across units. The delegation was led by the Rector of UM Gresik, Prof. Dr. Khoirul Anwar, S.Pd., M.Pd., accompanied by the Head of the International Relations Office (IRO), Paulina, S.Pd., M.Pd. Also in attendance were the Director of Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Rahmat Agus Santoso, S.E., M.M.; the Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Dr. Nur Fauziyah, S.Pd., M.Pd.; as well as representatives from the Faculty of Economics and Business, represented by the Head of the Management Study Program, Elok Vilantika, S.E., M.M., along with members of the postgraduate academic community of UM Gresik.

The presence of the UM Gresik delegation was not merely viewed as institutional representation, but as an effort to build scholarly dialogue and cross-cultural academic exchange. The forum opened spaces for discussion on research development, scientific innovation, and the strategic role of higher education institutions in responding to global challenges in an adaptive and collaborative manner.

Through its active engagement in ERIC’25, UM Gresik interacted with the academic community of Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep as well as participants from various international institutions. These interactions became a strategic platform for expanding academic networks, introducing higher education practices, and exploring potential collaborations in research and scholarly publications.

Participation in this international academic forum also forms part of UM Gresik’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its campus internationalization agenda. The involvement of its academic community in global forums is viewed as a cross-border learning experience that enriches academic perspectives while enhancing the institution’s visibility at both regional and international levels.

Through ERIC’25, UM Gresik reaffirms its commitment as a higher education institution that is open to global collaboration, adaptive to the development of knowledge, and consistent in encouraging impactful academic contributions. The university’s presence at this forum is expected to serve as a foundation for broader international cooperation, particularly within the Southeast Asian region, while maintaining the scholarly identity and institutional values that characterize UM Gresik.
