On Monday, August 25, 2025, Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik (UMG) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and MoU Signing Ceremony with two Japanese industry partners, Yamaken Group and Kurosawa Group. The event, which took place in the UMG Meeting Room, marked an important momentum in strengthening international collaboration and opening opportunities for cross-sector cooperation. The ceremony was attended by the Rector of UMG, Prof. Dr. Khoirul Anwar, S.Pd., M.Pd., along with the Vice Rectors and seven Heads of Study Programs from the Faculty of Engineering.

Through the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Faculty of Engineering and the two Japanese partners, UMG reaffirmed its commitment to expanding academic and professional opportunities for students. The collaboration focuses on international internships, knowledge transfer, joint research, and the development of entrepreneurship based on global industry.

Representatives of Yamaken and Kurosawa Group expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome at UMG and conveyed their optimism that this partnership will serve as the beginning of joint efforts to build sustainable communication and deliver tangible benefits for students and academic development.
