On November 20, 2023, the Dean of the Islamic Faculty and the Head of the Islamic Education Department at Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik were invited to be speakers in the Collaborative International Seminar on Islamic Contemporary Studies and Education at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia.

This event was also attended by the Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo, Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Ampel and UniSZA itself. This event was held at the Auditorium, Library, Gong Badak Campus, UniSZA, Malaysia, which began with remarks from the Chancellor of UniSZA, continued by representatives of involved universities.
