This visit was a little different from the previous ones, not to attend invitations to seminars or scientific orations like the previous ones, but to have a bigger goal, namely to extend the MoU between Muhammadiyah Gresik University (UMG) and Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, Thailand. Located at the Institute of Science Innovation and Culture, RMUTK, Thailand on April 24 2023, the extension of the MoU was again signed by leaders from universities from different countries.

As is known, this collaboration has been going on since 2016. This collaboration has resulted in activities in the form of student exchanges, lecturer exchanges, and joint seminars. In 2023, add implementation in the field of research by sending lecturers to become research consultants at ISIC, RMUTK for 1 semester. He is Dr. YudhiArifani, M.Pd, Lecturer in the Masters in English Language Education, Postgraduate Program at Muhammadiyah Gresik University (UMG) received an official invitation from the Institute of Science, Innovation and culture, Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, Thailand as a research and publication consultant.

The activity attended was opened with a talk show and continued with the signing of the MoU. The activity was attended by the President of RMUTK and his deputies or staff, the Director of ISIC, lecturers and staff at RMUTK and students too. Titled Thai Culture and Customs for Foreigners with speakers Assoc Prof. Dr. SujiraKhojimate, Council Member of Rajamanggala University of Technology Krungthep Thailand, the activity was held at the Auditorium 5 floor Creative building BLDG, RUMTK Thailand.

Starting with the Opening speech by Mr. Samporn Peyaphan, Introduction of speaker with Dr. SurachaiTraiwannakij and public lecture delivery by Assoc. Prof. Dr. SujiraKhojimate continued with the signing of the MoU extension between UMG and Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, Thailand. NadhirotulLaily, Chancellor of UMG had the opportunity to give a speech at the event. Looks happy with a black blazer accompanied by Paulina, Ka. The UMG Partnership Bureau, he said that the international cooperation that had been signed by UMG had indeed been many and varied, but with Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, Thailand this was one of the most active and implementative collaborations because there had been many activities initiated together since 2016.

“I hope that with the extension of the MoU between UMG and Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, Thailand can give birth to many programs and activities that improve the performance of the two universities, especially in developing knowledge between the two countries, namely Indonesia and Thailand,” he said.

According to him, this is one clear proof that Muhammadiyah University Gresik cannot be underestimated by other universities, because UMG’s credibility and achievements are extraordinary and will later become a university that is known by the international community.

Associate Professor Dr. PichaiJanmanee, President of UTK conveyed the same thing, that UMG made many real contributions, especially in programs and activities aimed at developing the ability of lecturers to write scientific papers.
