July 14, 2022, an achievement for the UniversitasMuhammadiyah Gresik, especially the English Education Department, because one of the lecturers of the study program received a scholarship to continue studying abroad, there were many obstacles that were faced by many exams to get a scholarship to study abroad. This achievement is not only this time, but many lecturers of Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik have studied abroad. Riska Widiyanita Batubara, S. Hum., M.Pd. is a UMG lecturer who received a scholarship to continue his studies abroad at the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant in Indiana University, Bloomington, USA 2022 – 2023.

Not everyone has this diamond opportunity, but UMG won this scholarship. The Fulbright FLTA program is a program to assist Indonesian language classes at the university level in America for 2 semesters (9 months). FLTA is also allowed to take a minimum (depending on university policy) 2 courses per semester. This scholarship is intended for English Language Education lecturers. The learning process will be carried out face-to-face at Indiana University, Bloomington, USA.

Indiana University Bloomington is a public university founded in 1820 in Bloomington, Indiana. The university has approximately 40,000 students studying in the fields of Science, Arts, General Studies, Music Education, Social Work, Law, Business Administration, Comparative Law, Fine Arts, Information Science, Library Science, Public Relations, Public Health, Philosophy, Juridical Sciences , Information and Library Science.
