6 July 2022, Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik sent several students to take part in the Internship Program in collaboration with Loei Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, Thailand. On Wednesday 6 July 2022 the Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik held an Online Learning Opening Ceremony attended by Loei Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, Thailand. Loei Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 oversees a total of 175 schools in Loei Province and has been UMG’s partner in conducting internships in Thailand in the previous period, as well as 16 students who will participate in this program.
Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik students who take part in this program will later be distributed to carry out activities in Loei Thailand for one semester. UMG partner schools include Phanang – Phakoeng School, Ban TungyaiSchoo, ChumchonNonghin School, Ban Huaiduenoi School, Ban Nonkok-kha School, Ban Tadkha School Ban Kaengsriphoom School, AnubanchumchonPhukradueng School, Ban LoeiWangsai School, Ban Erawan School, Ban Nonsawang School, Ban Non Pasang School, Jiarawanonutit 4 School, Chumchon Ban Phanokkhao School.

The meeting via Zoom was attended by Miss Wanida, a representative from LPESAO2, Thailand and team members who joined UMG students. There is a sharing session between team members to report on the progress of the activities that have been carried out. However, because the Covid-19 pandemic has just subsided, this program must finally be carried out online. This is a challenge for students who take part in this program. Especially now that a lockdown is being implemented in Loei, so schools will carry out learning in total. Loei Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 hopes that students who will later help teach in Thai schools will be able to bring a new, effective way of online learning for Thai students, especially in learning English. and the activity implementation team hopes that this activity will produce articles and be published.
