June 26, 2025 – Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik (UMG) took part in the Indonesia–Philippines Networking Forum held at the Faculty of Economics and Business Auditorium, Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA (UHAMKA), Jakarta. This event was an initiative of the Association of International Affairs Offices of Muhammadiyah–’Aisyiyah Higher Education Institutions (ASKUI PTMA), which consistently encourages the expansion of global networks among Muhammadiyah-based campuses. The forum brought together 40 Muhammadiyah–’Aisyiyah universities from across Indonesia, including UMG.

During the forum, UMG signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with seven universities from the Philippines. These partner institutions include Pampanga State University, Holy Angel University, Columban College Inc, Jose Rizal University, Angeles University Foundation, Bataan Peninsula State University, and La Consolacion University. The MoU was signed directly at the event venue and marked a significant milestone in the forum’s agenda. This forum served as a momentum for Muhammadiyah–’Aisyiyah universities to strengthen institutional relations with international partners. Through its involvement, UMG is contributing to the development of inter-university synergy aimed at building long-term collaborative efforts.
