Malaysia, Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik (UMG) continues to build good collaborations with all stakeholders or partners. These efforts are not only carried out at the national level, but also on an international scale. One of them is the collaboration between UMG and UniSZa which has been established since 2017, and many activities have been implemented, one of which is joint conferences, webinars and joint publication activities. One of the collaborations that was recently approved was the signing of anMoA between the UMG Faculty of Islamic Religious Education and the Contemporary Islamic Faculty of Universiti Zainal Abidin Malaysia.
The Chancellor of UMG together with Deputy Chancellor III, Head of the Partnership Bureau, along with the leadership at the UMG Faculty of Islamic Religion were warmly welcomed by the top leadership of UnisZa, Malaysia as a form of support and synergy that has been established so far. The Chancellor of UMG in his speech hoped that synergy and collaboration would continue in the future.
“Hopefully this collaboration will continue and can develop not only for the Faculty of Islamic Religion but also for other faculties at UMG. This collaboration is a good start for Muhammadiyah Gresik University, by holding seminars between other nations at international universities, hopefully it can make UMG more global,” hoped Nadhirotul Laily, Chancellor of UMG.
“The collaboration that will be planned will not only cover teaching, but also research and community service for lecturers and students,” he continued. The Inter-Nation Seminar entitled “Sustainability of Islamic Education and Civilization” which was held on (14/02) became one of the proofs of the implementation of the collaboration between UMG and UnisZa, Malaysia.
Exactly 5 months ago in 2022, Sultan Zainal Abidin University (UniSZa) visited Muhammadiyah Gresik University to discuss the implementation of cooperation. When visiting UMG, the UnisZa delegation was greeted by Vice Chancellor III UMG, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Religion, Ka. Partnership Bureau, Ka. Academic Administration Bureau, Ka. Bureau of Admission and Public Relations, Ka. Islamic Education Study Program, Ka. Early Childhood Islamic Education Study Program and Ka. Islamic Religious Education Lab, discussing the implementation of collaborations that have been and will be established in the future
