June 29, 2022, right on Wednesday, Asahan University officially became a partnership partner with UMG. Asahan University is a university located in Kisaran City, North Sumatra. And has 4 faculties, namely: Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Economics, and Faculty of Teacher Training and Education.

At the signing meeting of the MoU and MoA cooperation agreement, Asahan University was attended by 17 people including the rector, vice chancellor, chairman of the foundation, supervisor, Dean of FE, Dean of Faculty of Law, Dean of Faperta, Dean of FKIP and their staff and held in the 7th floor meeting room of UMG. UMG leaders were also present, including the Chancellor, Deputy Chancellors I, II and III, Dean of FKIP, Dean of FE, Dean of Faculty of Law, Dean of Faperta, Head of Cooperation Bureau, Head of Admissions Bureau and their staff.

In his remarks, the Chancellor of UMG, Dr.Eko Budi Leksono ST, MT said that it was an honor for UMG to be the host and partner of cooperation with Asahan University and the Chancellor of UMG hoped that this collaboration would go well. Then the Chancellor of UNA also expressed his gratitude for being willing to be a cooperation partner with UNA.

In the discussion session, the guests who were present in the meeting room exchanged information and asked each other about the MBKM program being intensified by the Ministry of Education and Culture and Asahan University hoping to learn more about international programs. And for the event visitors there was a group photo session and the presentation of mementos and souvenirs.

The signing of the MoU and MoA is the most important part in establishing cooperation, and hopefully this collaboration will be as expected by both parties.
