A new chapter of international experience has officially begun. On June 3, 2026, two students from the Accounting Study Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik (UMG), Nur Faudia Asyifa’ and Dikta Eka Putra Gemilang, are set to participate in the International Internship Program 2026 in Thailand, which will run from May to October 2026.
As part of the program, Nur Faudia Asyifa’ will be assigned to Lukmanulhakeem School, while Dikta Eka Putra Gemilang will undertake his internship at Jipakdee Wittaya School in Yala, Thailand. They will join participants from several Muhammadiyah universities across Indonesia, including Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo, Universitas Muhammadiyah Bogor Raya, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya.
This opportunity reflects UMG’s commitment to encouraging students to gain international academic and professional exposure. Through the program, participants will not only engage in internship activities but also broaden their global perspectives and strengthen their ability to adapt in multicultural environments.
During their stay in Thailand, the students will interact directly with local educational communities, experience a different cultural setting, and develop professional skills as well as cross-cultural communication competencies. These experiences are expected to serve as valuable preparation for entering an increasingly competitive and globally connected workforce.
For Nur Faudia Asyifa’ and Dikta Eka Putra Gemilang, participating in the International Internship Program 2026 is more than just an academic opportunity. It is also a chance to grow personally, build international networks, and proudly represent Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik on the global stage.
The International Relations Office (IRO) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik expressed its appreciation for the students’ enthusiasm and willingness to embrace international opportunities. The program is expected to provide meaningful experiences that will not only benefit the participants but also inspire other UMG students to pursue global learning opportunities.
The departure of UMG students to Thailand through the International Internship Program 2026 represents another milestone in the university’s internationalization efforts and highlights the readiness of UMG students to compete, collaborate, and thrive in a global environment.
