

On June 19, 2025, Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik (UMG) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SEAMEO TED in an event held at Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta, in this case SEAMEO TED is a regional institution under the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization that focuses on the development of vocational and technical education in Southeast Asia. SEAMEO itself is an intergovernmental organization founded by 11 Southeast Asian countries and serves as a platform for regional cooperation in the fields of education, science, and culture. SEAMEO TED (Technical Education Development) is one of the centers of excellence that handles strategic issues of vocational education, improving workforce skills, and strengthening relations between educational institutions and the industrial world in the region. Through this collaboration, Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik (UMG) is committed to expanding its international collaboration network, especially in improving the quality of vocational education and skills. This signing also opens up opportunities for UMG to be involved in various knowledge exchange and competency development programs that are relevant to global needs.
