May 10, 2022, During one semester, 10 students from several study programs including entrepreneurship, industrial engineering and management at the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik participated in an international transfer credit program with educational institutions in Thailand. that day was the first day of the virtual meeting of selected students who had the opportunity to take part in the international credit transfer program and received guidance from Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep Thailand regarding the learning procedures in the program. To join the program through several selection stages such as interviews and TOEFL tests, the selection process was tested directly by Miss Paulina as the head.

At the virtual meeting, the Thai side gave an explanation of the procedures for learning culture in Thailand and was briefed on the basic language in Thailand, for example “Sawatdii” which means “hello”, UMG students were enthusiastic and happy to follow the instructions given. The international transfer credit program is implemented from June 21 to October 21, 2021. Each student chooses a course according to the direction of the head of the study program so that the value can be converted to courses at UMG. Lectures in this program follow Thai hours, for one week lectures are held from Monday to Saturday and with a daily duration of about 2-3 hours. Lecturers who provide material also learn Indonesian because they are interested in Indonesia.

 “During my studies, not only from UMG students or Indonesian students but also from several other countries such as China and Cambodia, at every lecture meeting, I definitely got assignments and had to interact with students from other countries, so it was a challenge in itself. make me study,” commented from Elif.

UMG students are not only doing lectures and doing assignments, they are also required to make daily reports about virtual learning activities and at the end of the meeting they are submitted to the IRO (International Relations Office) to serve as a program accountability report for which the international credit transfer program has been implemented.
