FGD “Being an International faculty member and readiness to confront the internationalization of higher education”

July 26, 2022, the International Relations Office of UMG held a Forum Group Discussion with the theme "Being an International faculty member and readiness to confront the internationalization of higher education" together with Dr. Nico Irawan, M.Pd. lecturer at Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, Thailand which was held in the 7th floor meeting room of the UMG main building and this activity was attended by 28 undergraduate and postgraduate lecturers.
The FGD was led by the Master of Ceremony, Mrs. Nataria Wahyuning Subayani, S.Pd., M.Pd. and assisted by moderator Mrs. Paulina, S.Pd., M.Pd. During the FGD, Mr. Nico said that he was happy to receive an invitation to be a speaker in the FGD after the last meeting before the pandemic and Mr. Nico had high hopes that after the FGD activity, all study programs at the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik could step up to the International class or use the international curriculum and could improve the quality. to go international campus.

At the FGD there were various kinds of material presented regarding culture, internationalization, curriculum, international/domestic students, etc. and in this forum, Mr. Nico explained in detail about international education. The lecturers who were present actively participated in asking questions and asking for tips on international education. This activity is one of the achievements that we should appreciate and be proud of, with Pak Nico Irawan coming to his beloved campus, and being able to share knowledge about international education.
Mr. Nico advised to be more improved in speaking English and there is no need to use sentences according to the rules of English, all it takes is the courage to speak English.
