Princess Thailand Watched Teaching Foreign Languages by UMG Students

Heir to the throne of the Kingdom of Thailand, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn hold a visit to some schools, one of which was the Loei Wangsai school, Thailand. In a series of visits conducted on Thursday (07/16), Princess Sirindhorn also watches the virtual English learning conducted by students of the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik as a form of work program on the Internship and KKN International programs.

One of the students of the English Language Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Gresik, Putri Karya, became a tutor in learning virtual English which was watched by Putri Sirindhorn using Zoom application. In this study Putri taught students in Thailand phrases about the types of activities that can be done at home during a pandemic.

Princess Sirindhorn, known by the Thai people as "Phra Thep" or "Angel Princess" has a very high concern for children and youth. It is proven by the many social programs carried out with the aim to improve the quality of life of children and youth in Thailand and in several countries in Southeast Asia. In 2005, Princess Sirindhorn was also named the UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for the Empowerment of Minority Children through Intangible Cultural Heritage Education and Conservation by the then Director General of UNESCO, Koichiro Matsuura.

As previously reported, Muhammadiyah University Gresik held an International Internship and Community Service Program for students who collaborated with the Loei Education Office, Thailand. This program is carried out from 1 July 2020 to November 2020.
